Jacks or Better is played with 1 hand. Jacks or Better follows conventional poker rules, which means that only 1 pack of cards is used and the cards are shuffled before each hand. The game follows standard poker hands:
- Two pair
- Three of a Kind: three cards of the same rank (K, K, K, for example)
- Straight: 5 consecutive cards of different suits
- Flush: 5 cards of the same suit (5 clubs for example)
- Full House: 3 cards of the same value and two cards of the same value (5, 5, 5 and K, K, for example)
- Four of a Kind: 4 cards of the same value (9, 9, 9, 9)
- Straight Flush: 5 consecutive cards of the same suit
- Royal Straight Flush: A, K, Q, J, 10 of the same suit.
In Jacks or Better an extra hand is also possible: a pair of Jacks, Queens, Kings or Aces. The pay table can be found directly on the screen, so you know instantly what winnings you can get. Once you get a winning combination, you can choose to collect your winnings or risk the bonus game.

After every hand, you can double your winnings in Jacks or Better. To do so, click on the GAMBLE button after a win. A bonus game appears where you can choose the right colour (red or black) or the right suit of the card positioned in the centre of the screen.
